Back with a special 2-in-1 family photo session showcasing Olivia’s Modern Korean 1st Birthday and Cake Smash, all celebrated in her beautiful hanbok!

To honor her Korean heritage, we designed this custom set featuring traditional elements, including her Korean name, beautifully captured in the cozy setting of our photo studio. Olivia’s parents requested a boho vibe, and we took care of the design, ensuring everything was perfectly arranged so they could simply show up and enjoy the experience.

Doljanchi: A Cherished Korean Tradition

Dohl, or Doljanchi, is a significant Korean tradition celebrating a baby’s 1st birthday, with the main event known as Doljabi. During Doljabi, various objects symbolizing different career paths are placed in front of the baby, and the one they choose is believed to predict their future! So, which future did Olivia choose?

Korean Cake Smash Fun

We concluded the shoot with a fun cake smash, where Olivia got to enjoy her first taste of cake! This had to be one of my favorite parts of the day, as I captured Olivia’s priceless reactions to her sweet treat. Needless to say, she enjoyed the cake as much as I loved photographing her.
